Nothing Important

I realize that a lot of people love kettle corn, but it is something that I really hate. Yes, hate is a strong word, but I'm not going to lie to you when I say I mean it. It is very misleading. I mean you put this popcorn in your mouth expecting to have the sweet sensation of butter and salt. But instead you get this weird gross sweet flavor. It comes out of no where and I'm just saying it's not a welcomed surprise. Don't get me wrong I kinda like sweet things. I mostly like sweet things if it's fruit flavored. It's just when I expect something salty and savory I want no sweet flavors involved. Random thought I'm aware, but this happening I'm speaking of just happened. Not a Fan. Oh yeah, just so you know the taste does not get better or hidden by putting salt, butter, and/or seasoning salt on it.

Yeah, I am with you. It IS very misleading - I have never really liked kettle corn myself.

I, too, hate kettle corn for the same reason. It's a huge disappointment when you're expecting regular popcorn and get a mouthful of that crud.

I don't know Michelle, I really like the sweet and salty combination. And, the smell alone should be a little redeeming, right? Have you ever smelled the caramel kettle corn at Downtown Disney? If you ever do, I think it would knock the hate factor down to "strongly dislike" at least.

I don't know it's pretty strong. And I never said I hated caramel corn. it's just that lousy kettle business

I don't like popcorn in general, but I do find myself going to town a little more when kettle corn is in my face, rather than regular butter. Butter flavor is so greasy, and it makes you feel like your thighs are lined with popcorn when your done. I've seen the back of a lot of people's legs who look like they've eaten too much popcorn. Really I prefer candy bars, ice cream and chees on everything. It gives a smoother layer of fat to your body.

I can only be in the mood for it, every once and a while...but I will admit, I don't hate it.

Not a fan. Even when you are ready for it it just disapoints. Give me straight savory or give me carmel but none of this half way business. If you want the sweet and salty depth add nuts and call it fiddle faddle or crackerjack.
